The mechanical in die tapping unit by INTERCOM is one of the most favourable alternative to form threads in progressive dies. Depend on the stroke of the press machine and the flank lead of the thread former are thread sizes of M1,5 till M14 possible. According to constellations, speeds between 20 and 200 stroke/min. could be driven. The drive which is powered by a rack steering, converts the vertical movement through a gear box to idler wheels, spindle and thread former.
The new designed electronical in die tapping unit by INTERCOM (patent pending) based on a simple mode of operation. Threads can be produced in progressive dies or in special applications. The unit is controlled and driven by a SERVO DRIVER, which controlls all phases of forming. Speed and depth of thread formings can be adjusted on an input panel.
